Our Story
I’ve been breeding MAS since December 2018 when my first 3 imports flew in from Canada. This was a wonderful time as both girls came to me pregnant and we hit the ground running! With only 2 girls and a boy, life was easily managed and we were able to take them all everywhere we went. Fast forward a few years and our breeding team numbers have grown!!
Being there weren’t any (or very few) MAS in Australia to buy, importing male stud dogs and keeping some home bred girls was our best option to expand our genetic diversity and gene pool. However this led me to realize that I just didn’t have enough seats in my car, or enough room on my lap to have them with me for as much time as I wanted and the time they all deserved with me one on one.
They all deserve to be the No.1 in a family!
Undoubtedly the hardest part of breeding dogs is when it comes time to rehome one of my adults (I’m not very good at it!) It’s like rehoming a child! So to stop the gut wrenching moments when I have to say goodbye to one of my adults, I started selecting puppies who I thought had the potential to be a part of my breeding team in the future and offered them to people who were waiting for a puppy. Being it wasn’t going to be as straight forward as bringing their puppy home purely as a pet, it doesn’t suit everyone. But for people who look forward to the process of having a litter of puppies one day, it’s an exciting time.
